The 16th Annual Asheville Butoh Festival
The 16th annual Asheville Butoh Festival takes place across multiple venues over three days in August. This year's lineup centers on Yumiko Yoshioka, a butoh dancer who has toured on six continents, leading two workshops and performing a solo piece inspired by a Gabriel García Márquez novel; fellow performer Scoop Slone also appears. The solo is described as the second installment in a larger series of work.
