Trails Less Traveled: Charlies Bunion

Swannanoa Valley Museum leads an eight-mile out-and-back hike to Charlies Bunion, a well-known overlook in the Great Smoky Mountains, with about 1,640 feet of elevation gain. The route starts at the Newfound Gap parking lot and follows a stretch of the Appalachian Trail.
