The (Not So) Extinct Franklin Tree

This outdoor program at Winding Stair Farm centers on the Franklin tree, a species that vanished from the wild along Georgia's Altamaha River in the early 1800s and survives today only because botanist William Bartram collected its seeds decades before that disappearance.
