Terms & privacy
The short version: this is a free city paper about going out. We collect almost nothing, we never sell anything about you, and you can reach an actual person at hello@citygoodtimes.com.
What this site is
We publish what we think is worth leaving the house for, which means we leave things out on purpose. Listings are free and editorial: nobody pays to be included. When a placement is ever paid for, it is labelled “Featured” every time it appears.
Getting things wrong
Times change, shows get cancelled, and venues update their plans after we publish. We verify what we can and correct what we find, but check with the venue before you drive — especially for a ticketed show. We are not the organizer and we cannot sell you a ticket, so anything you buy elsewhere is between you and them.
What we collect
If you subscribe: your email address, and a random token used to confirm and to unsubscribe. Nothing else — no name, no tracking pixel, no profile. Subscribing is double opt-in, so you only ever join by clicking a link in an email we sent you.
If you save places: your list lives in your own browser, not on our servers, unless you opened the site through a personal link from a place you are staying.
We do not sell or share your address, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers. Video and music are embedded through privacy-preserving players that load nothing until you press play.
Leaving
Every email has an unsubscribe link that works immediately and needs no login. You can also email us and we will remove you, along with anything else we hold about you.
Businesses
Corrections, photo changes, and removals are handled the same day — see copyright & takedowns.
Who we are
City Good Times is published by ThisxLife in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Our sister business, Asheville Forest Baths, rents cabins nearby; where it appears in the guide it is labelled as ours. Nothing else in the guide is chosen because of it.
