Warp, Weft, and the Grid
This exhibition traces the craftsmanship and visual language of handwoven coverlets made in the southern Appalachian region during the 19th and early 20th centuries. It looks at how weavers built geometric grid patterns into their designs and what those textiles reveal about the region's artistic traditions.
