Kalalau Trail

Eleven miles of sea cliffs, the most famous footpath in Hawaiʻi.

Sketch · Good Times staff

Our take

The trail hugs the Napali coast from Keʻe, and even the first two miles to Hanakapiʻai will rearrange your idea of a coastline. Day access runs through Haʻena State Park and its reservation system. Overnights in Kalalau take a camping permit that opens 90 days out and goes quickly.
