Mahaʻulepu Heritage Trail
The south shore's last wild coastline starts at Shipwreck's.
From Keoneloa Bay below the Grand Hyatt, two miles of lithified cliffs, dunes, and coves run east to Kawailoa Bay. Winter puts whales offshore, and the cliff edges stay crumbly, so keep your distance. Grove Farm opens the Mahaʻulepu access road Saturday through Monday, 8 to 6, but walking in from Shipwreck's works any day. No fires, and respect the private-property markers.
