One point one miles across the valley below Tantalus, stitching the Kanealole and Maunalaha trails into the loop Honolulu hikers run on weeknights. Swamp mahogany and eucalyptus overhead, natives working back in at the edges. Start up Makiki Heights Drive and take it counterclockwise.
