Shangri La Museum of Islamic Art
Doris Duke's oceanfront house of Islamic art at Black Point.
Tilework, carved ceilings, and a courtyard that opens straight to the sea below Leʻahi. Visits run as guided tours with a shuttle from the Honolulu Museum of Art on Thursdays and Fridays, plus Saturdays through Bishop Museum. Tickets drop the first Thursday of each month at 10am HST and go fast. It goes dark every September for upkeep.
