Our take

This county park was a sugar-shipping port, and you enter the ocean down a ladder off the old wharf. Below sit rails, cables, and wreck debris from the harbor days, now crusted in coral and circled by fish. Calm mornings only, and there's no lifeguard. Bring something for your feet.
