Halawa Park
Drive the east end road to the very end.
The road east from Kaunakakai hugs the shoreline past fishponds and one-lane bridges before dropping into Halawa Valley, one of the oldest settled places in Hawaiʻi. At the bottom there's a small park with a picnic pavilion and the beach on Halawa Bay. Drive it slow, wave at everyone, and check conditions before you get in the water.
