Maniniʻowali Beach (Kua Bay)
Kona's white-sand swimming bowl, paved road all the way in.
Maniniʻowali is the north end of Kekaha Kai State Park, the rare Kona beach with a paved road all the way in. Fine sand, clear turquoise water, zero shade. Gates run 8am to 6:30pm, and non-residents now pay for parking and entry. Winter shorebreak hits hard, so watch the kids.
