Moalepe Trail
The quiet back way into the Makaleha country.
Begins where the pavement quits on Olohena Road, crosses ranch pasture, then slips into Kealia Forest Reserve. Horses share this one, so give them the trail. It meets Kuilau at mile two, which makes a car-shuttle through-hike easy. On a weekday you might get the whole ridge to yourself.
